Akshay Kumar has announced the completion of the shoot of his much-awaited project Ram Setu.
Taking to social media, he posted a video and tweeted, “Here’s to the wrap of yet another amazing project #RamSetu. I learned so much during the making of this film, it was like going to school all over again. Badi mehnat ki hain hum sabne, ab bas aapka pyaar chahiye (We have worked hard. Now we need your love).”
Akshay also introduced the cast and crew of the film. Ram Setu is written and directed by Abhishek Sharma. Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha are in the female leads, and the movie is expected to release on Diwali this year. Chandan Saxena and Tanishk Bagchi score the music.
The film is being co-produced by Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment, Lyca Productions and Amazon Prime Video—their first Hindi production in India. Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi is the creative producer. Produced by the late Aruna Bhatia (Akshay’s mother) and Vikram Malhotra, the film sees Akshay as an archeologist who sets out to find whether the Ram Setu (Ram’s Bridge) mentioned in the Ramayan exists or not. The film has a social message.
Apart from this film, Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey, Raksha Bandhan and Oh My God! 2 will release for the actor this year.
