Asia Cup 2022 champions Sri Lanka will face Namibia in the Group A match of the 2022 T20 World Cup on October 16 (Sunday). The former World T20 champions are clear favorites to win the match, but they cannot afford any complacency.
Namibia, on the other hand, last played their T20I in May where they won a series against Zimbabwe. They also beat Ireland in the warm-up game by 11 runs whereas the other match against Zimbabwe was abandoned due to rain.
Venue: Simonds Stadium, Geelong
Date and Time: October 16, 9:30 AM IST
Telecast & Live Streaming: Star Sports Network
Simonds Stadium has hosted only one T20I match so far, but a lot of domestic cricket has been played at the venue. Generally, the wicket offers true bounce where the batters will have a slight edge over the bowlers. The skipper winning the toss might want to have a bowl first.
